India´s Independence Day Celebration

The India´s Independence Day Celebration was done at Plazoleta del Fundado, beside the Cordoba Cathedral, with the presence of the Hon. General Consul of India Dr. Sergio Lais-Suarez who gave a     a talk regarding India and the centenary friendship with Argentina.

Also he explained about the Ancient India and the Modern India both with a deep root into the Speiritual India that permeate the life of all Indian.

 

Lais-Suarez said “the International Commerce among both nations reach about 1.3 Billion dollars where India is importing from Argentina around 1.0 Billion dollars each year.

Also explained about differents cultural activities to be programed in several provinces to show the Indian dance, music, art, sciences and others areas to tied links between both countries.

Furthermore talked about the sucessful 1st July, 2009  “Argentina-India Business Seminar” organized in Cordoba and Buenos Aires by the Hon. General Consulate, The Indian EMbassy and the Confederation of Indian Industries.

Accompaning the Hon. General Consulate were: Production Minister Ing. Luis Gelid from Santiago del Estero Province, General Consul of Chile Minister Fernando Barrera Robinson, Chief of National Direction of Inmigration Dr. Jose Mauricio Dominguez, President of Municipal Town Mr. Julio Avila,  representive of the Indian Community from the north of Argentina Mr. Jimmy Hakimian Principal of Primary School Republic of India, representatives from State and Municipal Governments and friend of India.

Consuls representatives of 20 countries were also present at the Ceremony.

The Government Band of Music played Jana Gana Mana and the Argentina National Song. Both Flags were raised and Flowers Bouquet were deposited at the Plaza
