This conference was organized by the Working Group for Foreign Trade of the UNdeC directed by Dr. Giselle Javurek in conjunction with the Hon. General Consulate of India during  August 28th, 2009 at the headquarters of the University in Chilecito , La Rioja with the presence of educators, students, general public, producers in the region, mayors, university  municipal and provincial governmental officials,

India was presented as a growing market potential full of opportunities for Argentina. A short film about India was projected

Dr. Lais-Suarez explained that “recently the Indian Government lowered the import tax of Extra Virgin Olive Oil from 47% to 0% due to the healthy qualities of the oil over the cardiovascular system the antioxidant and cholesterol-lowering benefits. At present, global imports of olive oil to India amounted to 3,300 tonnes and it is estimated that by 2015 the purchases amount will reach to 42,000 tonnes ”

Also suggest to increase mutual cooperation throught agreement between Indian Universities and Universidad Nacional de Chilecito and exchanges of students and academics.

Also spoke about the possibilities of full scholarships for advanced students and lawyers which may rotate in the Surana & Surana India Law Firm to study the Laws of India and strategies for doing business among both nations..

On the other hand, will be held shortly a 2-3 Cultural Festival about India to show  music, dance and film from Bollywood.
